Begin with the space
Measure the area where the artwork will hang. Mark out the proposed outer frame dimensions with paper before deciding. Look at it from your usual viewing position, whether that is a chair across the room or a nearby doorway.
Allow for the frame
The listed print size describes the paper, not the finished frame. A mat and frame add to its overall dimensions. Choose the print and framing together so the finished piece fits the space you measured.
Keep the composition in mind
A square painting and a long landscape need different proportions. We preserve the complete artwork without cropping or stretching. If the paper has different proportions, ask about a border or a different paper size. Check the size options for the specific artwork; if you are unsure, ask before ordering.
Consider the feeling
A small work can invite a closer look on a shelf or beside a reading chair. A larger print can give the landscape more presence across a room. Compare both with paper templates and choose the scale you enjoy living with.
